Completed rapid compliance training project that prompted the following client comment: “”…very customer focused, listened to us, tried very hard to fulfill all of our requests, explained the processes and procedures that we needed to follow very thoroughly and helped us prepare for each phase of the project.”

Completed work on a set of web-based training tutorials to introduce users to a new (internally developed) customer management system. Using Captivate 4 we were able to keep up with the agile development of the application. Working with the client we developed a unique structure that provides both “show me” and “let me” functionality at every step. This provides guided practice for most learners and a demonstration mode for others.

Completed the Phase 1 training for HealthQuest in New York on their electronic medical record system. Applied ADDIE principles to refine the instructor-led train classes for a couple dozen different offerings before rolling up my sleeves to deliver them in classes of 2 to 25 learners. I was privileged to be able to train several hundred nurses, physicians, and other clinicians to help them use computerized patient records for the very first time. It is easy to take for granted something like an electronic medical record after working with them for more than 10 years. Helping this organization come into the digital age was really exciting. E-learning may be able to reach thousands of learners across thousands of miles, but it is still no substitute for the power of direct contact in a classroom. To end the experience I was able to provide on-site support and see my students apply their new learning to serve their patients. Such a rewarding experience.

Currently working with a major chip manufacturer in Oregon (not Kettle Chips, but I highly recommend their products too) on end user training on SAP reporting and sales support software. Details to follow.
